Festival 2011 : Patron announced !

We have the pleasure of announcing that the 4th edition of Strasbulles will be placed under the high patronage of an exceptional author – Régis LOISEL.

Two other authors have also granted us the honour of joining us and to design the festival poster: Lyse et Didier Tarquin. You will have to wait a few weeks to see the results, but while you wait and for those who don’t know these authors yet you’re invited to discover their work here:

Café BD de février aux Expat’.

Fifteen or so members met at Expat’s to present and share their BD albums on the theme of ‘snow’.

The following titles ere passed around :

Tintin in Tibet by Hergé, Blacksad by Guiarnido, Peter Pan by Loisel, Calvin and Hobbes by Watterson, Gon by Tannaka, Amnésia by Sorel, Mosdi and Crespin, Génie des Alpages by F’Murrr, The Snowman by Briggs, Magasin général by Loisel, Voyage en amertume by Clavé, Whiteout by  Rucka and Lieber, Red Sonia, Sillage by Buchet….and I forget the others!

We then discussed various things:

Information on the meeting to come with Marie Terret on her book « les Malgré nous » at the Andre Malraux Library saturday morning.

Presentation of the winners book from last year’s CNOUS “Bike” competition, the winner being a student from the college of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg : Maxime Garcia

News on what’s just happened at Decorative Arts in Strasbourg : where there’s now a risk they will close the communication department and therefore lose their comic strip illustration section.

The theme for the next café BD is « War », (march = mars, the planet of war).

And we even took some photos !!!

Strasbulles at Angoulème: the event postcard!

Some ABD delegates representing the Strasbourg comic strip festival are going to Angoulème to make contact with the organisers of their 37th event. To mark the occasion a postcard is going to be handed out to festival-goers, lucky devils!
