The European Comic-Strip Festival comes back for it’s third season from 1st to 6th June 2010 at the Bourse building, place du maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, Strasbourg.

« What is comic-strip in Europe today ? »

That’s the question which the Festival attempts to answer.

• A European area has been created in partnership with the consulates of Switzerland, Austria and Romania, The Goethe Institute, l’instituto Italiano di Cultura and the Poland cultural institute. A veritable cultural forum and window on comic-strip in the participating countries, this new space will become enriched by the contributions of other countries in future years. Discover it in the Bourse room from the 1st to the 6th June.
• Elsewhere the Festival explores trends in European production as well as new and emerging comic-strips.
• A desktop-publishing space welcomes author collectives and independent Belgian, Swiss, Italian and German publishers, … nest to those from all corners of France.
• For the first time this year a day dedicated to professionals (librarians, publishers, teachers, bookshops, authors…) will cover numerous aspects of comic-strip around during round table discussions and conferences.
• The Festival also welcomes authors from the traditional sectors of comic-strip (Franco-Belge BD, American comics, Manga) for public meetings, exhibitions and signings.
