Café BD d’avril

Perhaps it was because Strasbourg had been basking in twenty degrees and sunshine, the warmest place in France that day, that many ABD members were unable to make it to April’s Cafe BD at La Tavern Francaise in Ave de la Marseillaise.  The heat can be the only logical explanation, or perhaps because it took place in the middle of the holidays, that only three members managed to show their faces?  Who knows? Perhaps the absent members can enlighten us with a comment below?

Despite the poor turnout we spent the time in fruitful discovery of a range of titles from the world of BD:

  • Nemesis the Warlock by Pat Mills
  • Spiderman: la dernier chasse de Kraven by DeMatteis, Zeck & McLeod
  • Dynamo5 by Jay Faerber and Mahmud Asrar
  • Freaks of the Heartland by Steve Niles and Greg Ruth
  • Yoko Tsuno by Roger Leloup
  • Les Statues by Ferry & Pombal

Next month’s Cafe BD takes place on Wednesday the 5th of May at a location yet to be agreed, the theme for which will be ‘The absentees’ – naturally.
